Tami Siewruk
mPro Digital Edge and Journey Lens

The AI Builder

Tami Siewruk brings rare dual expertise: genuine technology credentials from computing's foundational era combined with nearly five decades of comprehensive multifamily real estate operations, development, and ownership experience.

For the past two years, Tami has been immersed in building mPro Digital Edge from the ground up—an AI-powered workspace platform featuring 166+ tools across 57 AI models, designed exclusively for multifamily professionals. This wasn't configuration or customization. It was architecture: selecting models, engineering prompts at scale, designing governance guardrails, testing outputs against compliance requirements, and understanding where AI excels and where it fails.

Building an AI platform demands a level of fluency that using one never provides. You learn which models hallucinate under pressure. You discover why governance can't be bolted on after launch. You understand token limits, context windows, and why the same prompt produces different results across platforms. You see firsthand how AI breaks when it hits real-world workflows—and how to prevent it.

Technology Foundation

In 1993, Tami was part of the team launching Intel's groundbreaking first Pentium microprocessor at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany—then the world's largest computer expo. As one of the original owners of Quarterdeck and the Landmark Speed Test software—a pioneering PC benchmark tool that set industry standards—she helped shape early personal computing. This foundation informs everything she teaches: not theory borrowed from vendors, but hard-won knowledge from building AI systems that operators actually deploy.

Multifamily : 1976 to Present

Beginning her multifamily career in 1976, Tami advanced from leasing to property management and portfolio leadership, then served as CMO for a major development company. As President of Siewruk Development Corporation, she developed 497 units across multiple markets, including a 192-unit community in Austin, Texas, and 305 units in Dallas in partnership with The Huizinga Group, plus rental projects in the Bahamas. She continues consulting on purpose-built rentals throughout North America and the Caribbean.

This developer/owner experience means she evaluates technology with her own capital at risk, focused on ROI and operational improvement rather than innovation for its own sake.

Industry Publishing and Education

In 1985, Tami founded MultifamilyPRO, creating an internationally distributed magazine reaching subscribers across the U.S., Canada, Sweden, and Russia. She authored seven industry books, including co-authoring NAHB's "How to Excel in Leasing Apartments" and the Certified Leasing Professional Course. Her articles have appeared in The Journal of Property Management, Units Magazine, Urban Land Magazine, and numerous state and local publications.

She served as Editor of NAHB's Multifamily Management magazine and Chairman of the NAHB Multifamily Council subcommittee. She invented the Multifamily Housing Brainstorming Sessions—one of the industry's largest national conferences—establishing herself as an architect of multifamily education infrastructure.

Digital Marketing Pioneer

Recognizing the internet's potential in its earliest days, Tami became one of multifamily's first digital marketing experts. She's consulted across all 50 states and Canada, specializing in SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and digital advertising.

"Adopting Generative Engine Optimization strategies isn't optional to stay competitive—it's essential."

Current Focus

As Co-Founder of Journey Lens with Jamie Gorski, Tami applies data-driven research to renter and associate journeys, delivering actionable insights that improve rent revenue, maximize NOI, and build stronger communities. Through mPro Digital Edge and Multifamily NEXT, she's translating her platform-building experience into practical AI fluency for the professionals who need it most.

Innovation Whisperer | TEKLED + TEKFEMMES

The Super-Connector

Endorsed as a national "Multifamily Rainmaker" and "Super-Connector Tipping Point," Tamela Coval connects companies' pain points to emerging and disruptive solutions. With over 40 years dedicated to multifamily real estate, her career spans property management, development, operations, business asset management, sales, marketing, and training—giving her a 360-degree view of what technology operators actually need versus what vendors want to sell.

The Vendor Insider

Tamela spent 20 years at industry media giants Primedia (ApartmentGuide.com) and Network Communications Inc. (ApartmentFinder, The Real Estate Book, Corporate Choices, LivingChoices.com), understanding how technology vendors position, price, and package their offerings. As Executive Strategist at CORT (Berkshire Hathaway Company), she built national partnerships and supplier relationships. As Industry Principal at Yardi, she represented one of multifamily's largest technology platforms. This insider experience means she knows vendor playbooks—because she helped write them.

The Innovation Investor

As Founder and Principal of TEKFMMES, Tamela has spent 14 years advocating for the transformative power of technology in multifamily housing. Her work focuses on the intersection of humans and technology, supporting early-stage companies in PropTech, FinTech, and MarTech. As a Seed Investor at Hamilton Ventures, a proptech-focused VC firm composed of former real estate executives and entrepreneurs, she evaluates startups with capital on the line—not just opinions.

Industry Leadership

Tamela served as National Supplier's Council Chair (NAA-NSC) and held board of director positions with the National Apartment Association. She remains deeply active with the National Multifamily Housing Council, RETTC (Real Estate Technology & Transformation Center), and the Multifamily Innovation Council. Her volunteer leadership record spans local, state, and national associations including TAA, GAA, FAA, UAA, WMFHA, GNAA, CAA, and RHA.

Speaking and Education

A visiting presenter at Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, and Emory's School of Business, Tamela has trained hospitality teams for the Atlanta Braves franchise and contributed to IREM publications. Her speaking engagements include NMHC OpTech, NMHC Student Housing Conference, NAA Education Conference (Apartmentalize), Multifamily Executive Leadership Conferences, AIM Conference, RETHINK, Crittenden Real Estate Forums, CHPA (Corporate Housing Provider Association), Sales & Marketing Magic, Executive Brainstorming, and countless state and local associations.

Why AI Vendor Vetting

AI is flooding the multifamily market. Every vendor claims to have it. Few can explain what it actually does. Tamela's workshop cuts through the noise with frameworks built from decades of vendor relationships, investment evaluation criteria, and operator-side deployment experience. She teaches you the questions that make vendors uncomfortable—and the answers that reveal whether their AI is real or marketing.
